Our Story

Lake Erie K9 offers:
 * Basic Obedience   *Spec Ops ( advanced obedience courses)       *Behavior Modification *AKC Canine Good Citizen Course  *K9 Bootcamp(group puppy/dog obedience class)* Tac Maneuvers ( beginner agility) *Therapy Dog training/testing 

Contact us to bring private obedience training to you or it can be conducted at our facility in Lawrence Park. If obedience classes are not necessarily needed and all you need is a behavior problem to be made more manageable, we also provide behavior modification instruction at your residence. We also offer a Canine Good Citizen course of instruction. 

Our group K9 Puppy/Dog Bootcamp obedience classes are conducted at our Lake Erie K9 training center in Lawrence Park (4204 Main St. )

This business is veteran owned and operated. Owner Mike A; is a former Air Force Security Forces/ Dept. Of Defense k9 handler and k9 trainer. Mike A. was also a Military Police training instructor (assigned to the Dept. of Defense) In which he trained Army, Navy, Air Force,Marines and civilian police officers how to become K9 handlers. Mike A. also worked as a civilian Police K9 Officer for a large police department in North Carolina and was tactical firearms instructor and defensive tactics instructor for a Federal Police Agency. 
Tony D. , our other instructor is a retired civilian Police Dept. K9 Officer and trainer. Tony worked for over 20yrs as a K9 Police Officer.  Tony and Mike have worked together for several years helping civilian dog owners train their furry family members. 

Gary S. our other K9 Bootcamp instructor has been with us for a couple years now. He has an agility dog named Yoshi who is quickly becoming an agility star as a Pitbull. Gary instructs multiple K9 Bootcamps and will also be starting our Tac. Maneuvers ( beginner agility) courses in the summer of 2022.
